Itálican muinainen roomalainen kaupunki on peräisin vuodelta 206 eaa. Vielä nykyäänkin siellä on vaikuttava roomalainen amfiteatteri ja lukuisia talojen ja julkisten rakennusten jäänteitä, jotka saavat kävijät tuntemaan, että he ovat astuneet ajassa taaksepäin. Tunnetut keisarit Trajanus ja Hadrianus syntyivät molemmat Itálicassa, mikä tekee siitä myös erityisen tärkeän roomalaisen kaupungin. Andalusian hallitus julisti vuonna 1989 nämä vuonna 1751 löydetyt ja siitä lähtien esiin kaivetut monumentaaliset jäännökset arkeologiseksi kohteeksi.
