Kaupungin sydämessä sijaitseva Prater on Wienin suurin julkinen puisto, ja siellä sijaitsee myös yksi maailman vanhimmista huvipuistoista. Puisto on suosittu rentoutumispaikka sekä paikallisten että matkailijoiden keskuudessa.
Aiemmin metsästysmaana käytetty puisto avattiin yleisölle vuonna 1766, jolloin sinne perustettiin kahviloita. Nykyään Praterissa on noin 250 nähtävyyttä ja yli 60 ravintolaa ja kahvilaa, ja se on erinomainen paikka viettää päivä poissa kaupungista.
Vieraile Wurstelpraterin huvipuistossa ja käy jännittävissä laitteissa, kuten vuoristoradoissa, kummitusjunassa ja karusellissa. Täältä löydät myös kuuluisan maailmanpyörän, joka on yksi Wienin suosituimmista nähtävyyksistä. Ylhäältä avautuvat upeat näkymät puistoon ja kaupunkiin.
Huvipuiston vieressä on kaunis viheralue, joka tunnetaan nimellä Green Prater. Kävele kauniilla kujilla ja metsissä, nauti piknikistä, lähde pyöräretkelle tai matkusta puiston läpi kulkevalla Lilliputbahn Wien -minijunalla.

“It would have been helpful to make the experience more relevant to TUI, for instance being informed that the pick up point for the bus a was 3 min walk from the boat NOT the city centre wasting a lot of time, Queuing and boarding was very disorganised, both in the city centre for the main bus and the road train tour of the palace grounds. The bus itself was clean and the tour commentary was clear and informative, but overall a lot of room for improvement of the experience.”
