This is a Levada walk not to be missed. A magnificent route through Laurissilva, where you can appreciate the unique vegetation of this natural heritage.
In the first part of the route, you'll find of a mix of endemic vegetation and the one introduced after the discovery of the Island. Here several views of the village appear in the distance. In the second part, the route enters the interior of the Island, which still remains pristine, as at the time of discovery more than five centuries ago. On this path, you will find the natural and native flora and fauna of Madeira. And if you think you have reached the end of the Levada, continue walking: keep exploring the forest and discover the superb view that this hidden spot still has to offer.
