Retken kuvaus

Scifi-maisemia ja kameleita - tämä aamu Timanfayan kansallispuistossa ei ole ihan tavallinen retki. Tällä kierroksella tutustut Lanzaroten huippunähtävyyteen sekä perinteisin että modernein keinoin. Luvassa on historiallinen "Korppitulivuori", vierailijakeskus, La Degolladan kylä ja tietenkin kameliratsastus. Marian, yksi paikallisoppaistamme, sanoo: "Pääset tulivuoren kraatteriin - se on todella jännittävä kokemus - ja nauttimaan kuun kaltaisista maisemista kameliratsastuksella"

Ensimmäisenä vuorossa on Volcan del Cuervo eli "Korppitulivuori", joka sijaitsee Timanfayan kansallispuiston reunalla. Täällä alkoivat tulivuorenpurkaukset, jotka loivat Timanfayan vuonna 1730. Kraatteria ympäröivät korkeat seinämät, mutta laavajoki on avannut aukon, josta pääsee sisään kraatterin pohjalle. Seuraavaksi suuntaamme Mancha Blancan vierailijakeskukseen, jossa näet multimedianäytöksiä ja opit Kanariansaarten geologiasta.

Sitten on vuorossa retken kevyempi osio – kameliratsastus. Sinut autetaan puiselle istuimelle, joka on valjastettu yksikyttyräisen kamelin selkään, ja matka ohjaajan kanssa voi alkaa. Naurulla ei ole rajoja, kun katselet upeita tulivuorimaisemia keinuvan kamelin selästä. Siellä on myös pieni museo, joka on omistettu kanarialaiselle kamelille, joka tunnetaan nimellä "tochas". Lopuksi saavut La Degolladan kylään, jossa sinut palkitaan yhdellä etelän parhaista panoraamamaisemista.

Timanfaya Volcanic Tour

This half-day tour is Lanzarote in a nutshell. You'll call in at El Golfo lagoon, journey through Timanfaya National Park and visit the Salinas de Janubio. We'll even throw in a wine tasting session to round off the tour.First up, you'll visit the waters of El Golfo - it's emerald waters have starred in many a Hollywood film over the years. But that's just an appetiser for the main event – the visit to Timanfaya National Park. Famed for its moonlike landscape is dotted with lava fields and black rocks, you'll see the ‘Fire Mountain', to name but a few.We'll continue the tour with a stop in La Geria for a sip of some local wine before we reach Salinas de Janubio, the largest salt flats in the Canaries. Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park with Transfers

Enjoy a day out at this popular, beautifully maintained Wild West, animal and water park. Cesar Manrique’s Lanzarote tour with Cactus Garden and LagOmar

With its vine-laden lava fields, exuberant architecture and otherworldly landscapes, Lanzarote looks and feels like something from a sci-fi movie set. This exclusive half-day tour takes in the Cesar Manrique Foundation and his Cactus Garden, followed by a visit to LagOmar. Local legend has it that Hollywood icon Omar Sharif briefly owned it, only to lose it in a game of cards.
